Hi gang!

Last week on Wednesday, we were on the road, appearing in Newbury at the Zeppe’s Tavern bike night. The weather was perfect and we had a great time partying with the Zeppe’s gang. Special thanks to Bob and Joanne for stopping by! It was really good to see you both. :c) Thanks also to Joe and Clarissa for having us. We’re back there on January 5, so plan to stop by!

On Friday, we returned to the Parma Tavern to kick the weekend off with the Tavern crowd. Thanks to Marty, Mari, Chris, Wally, Chris, Daryl and Kathy for stopping by to party with us!

Coming up this week…

On Wednesday, we’lll back up the Soul Men as they perform at Wade Oval Wednesdays (10820 East Boulevard, Cleveland, 6pm – 9pm). This show will wind up the year at Wade Oval. The Soul Men are ALWAYS a blast, so don’t miss this one!

Friday finds us on the road again, this time in Mantua at The Deck (11697 Route 44, Mantua, 9pm – Midnight). This is our first time at The Deck so come on out and help us rock the house!!

Hey gang!

It’s been yet another fun-filled week! On Friday, we returned to 42Eighty Food and Drink. Thanks to Jen, Leslie and all of the 42 gang that attended. We had a great time! We were up early the next morning and on our way to Marietta for a private event. “Roostfest” was quite the party! Thanks to Gary, Laura, Dave and his lovely wife for having us and for their hospitality!

Coming up this week on Wednesday, we return to Zeppe’s Tavern & Pizzeria (11110 Kinsman Rd., Newbury, 7pm – 10pm) for their weekly Bike Night. This is our second time at Zeppe’s and if it’s half as much fun as the first, it’ll be off the hook! Their pizza and burgers are delicious, so come join us!

This Friday, we head back to the Parma Tavern (5680 Broadview Rd., Parma, 10pm – 2am) to rock the house! It’s been a while since we’ve appeared there, so we’re excited to see our old friends and make some new ones. The food is great and the beer is cold, so come on out and kick off your weekend with Shady Drive!

On Saturday, we’re playing a private event.

Hey gang!

Last Saturday it was time for us to head back to the Fairview Tavern for a night of blues and rock. Thanks to Al, Denny, Sue and all of you who stopped by to party with us! We had a blast!
Coming up this week on Friday, we return to 42Eighty Food and Drink (4280 Shenandoah Pkwy. Brunswick, 9:30pm-1:30am) to party down with Jess and Morgan behind the bar and the 42Eighty gang. The club features an awesome stage and lights and a spacious dance floor as well as ample parking, great food and your favorite beverages! Come join us at Brunswick’s newest hot spot!

On Saturday, we’re headed south to Marietta to play a private function.

In honor of my Mom, who passed away this past Monday July 30, there won’t be a regular email this week. Last week was very tough for Erika and me, but all of the thoughts and prayers helped us through it. Again, my most sincere thanks to all for your thoughts, prayers and love during this difficult time.

Hi gang!

It’s time to close out another week! On Friday we appeared at The Mad Cactus, where we were joined by Michelle, Gina, Darrin, Debbie, Jeff, Gordy and the Cactus crowd! A really fun night :c)

Early Saturday morning, we were on the move again, playing a private function near Painesville at noon. From there, we were off to join the Soul Men at Seven Hills Home Days at 7:30pm. Thanks to Ken, Sandy, Marty and Mary for stopping by, the Soul Men for having us along and to all the Seven Hills event staff for putting on a great event!

Coming up this week, on Tuesday night the Cleveland Music Club will host a special “Horn Jam” at Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 7pm – 11pm). Rob, Kevin and I are hosting along with the fabulous North Coast Horns! We’ll have over 25 charts available, so our horn playing friends can get their jam on! Don’t forget Doc’s 2 for 1 burgers and $3 margaritas! It’ll be a great night so stop on out!

On Friday, we’ll appear at Twilight at the Zoo joined by Erin Rossi and the North Coast Horns. We’ve added lots of new tunes since last year. This event is a smash hit every year and loads of fun. Tickets are available at: http://www.clevelandzoosociety.org/events_twilight.html

Then on Saturday, we’re back in trio configuration and making our debut at 100th Bomb Group (20920 Brookpark Rd, Cleveland, 7pm -10pm). We’re out on the patio so come enjoy a Cleveland summer evening with great food, good friends and some of the best rock and blues around town!
We’ll finish out the weekend on Sunday evening, appearing with the Soul Men at the Greenbriar Commons (6200 Pearl Rd., Parma Heights, 9pm – 11pm.) These guys are always a blast, so make plans to join us!

Hi gang!

It’s that time again! Last week was another warm one, but that didn’t stop our crowd from coming out on Friday night, when Shady Drive took the stage at Doc and Louie’s. The dance floor was full all night long as we partied with Charlie, Pat, the ‘Dancing Marilyns’, Joe, Liz, Shelley, Dave, Mike, Linda, Jared, and Dawn, among others. Thanks for coming out…we had a blast!

Next, Shady Drive headed east to Brecksville to play the Peppermill Pub and Grill. It was great to see Joe and Lisa again, and also Gina behind the bar keeping everyone’s glasses full. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to party with us! :c)

Coming up this week on Friday, we’ll cruise back to The Mad Cactus (9175 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, 9pm – 1am) to party the night away with Teddy and the Cactus gang. This is always a great time with an awesome crowd, so c’mon out and be a part of the fun!

Saturday is a busy day for us as we’ll start the day off at noon playing a private function. From there, we’ll hurry off to The Boneyard (Mayfield) (5900 Mayfield Rd., Mayfield Heights, 4pm – 5:30pm) to play the Bill O’Connor Memorial Poker Run which benefits the Police Athletic League. After that, we’re off to Seven Hills to appear with the Soul Men at Seven Hills Home Days (Seven Hills City Hall Grounds, 7325 Summitview Drive, Seven Hills, 7:30pm – 11pm). Anytime we’re on the stage with Jake and Elwood Soul is sure to be a blast, so don’t miss this one!

Mark your calendars for Tuesday, July 31 at 7pm, as the Cleveland Music Club Jam Night at Doc and Louie’s will host a special “Horn Jam” with co-hosts Rob Hayes (Shady Drive), Kevin Fancher (Shady Drive, Cactus Jack) and the amazing North Coast Horns! After the host band set, we’ll have over 25 charts for all of our horn players to jam along to. It’s gonna be GREAT!

Hi gang!

Another week is in the books and it’s time to kick start another one. Last week, we got things rolling at the Fairview Tavern as we rocked the place all night into the wee hours of Saturday morning. What a blast! Always a fun time there. Thanks to Chris, Daryl, Denny, Al, Ken, Sandy, Barb, George and everyone else who came out on Friday! :c)

On Saturday, we played a private function with the North Coast Horns who seriously funked it up all night! Thanks guys…we had a great time and you seriously rocked! Speaking of the North Coast Horns, don’t forget they’ll be co-hosting another Cleveland Music Club “Horn Jam” on July 31st along with Rob Hayes, Kevin Fancher and me. After the host band set, we’ll have over 25 charts so all you horn players can get your jam on!! Mark this date on your calendars!

Coming up this week, we’ll travel back to Doc and Louie’s (24280 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted, 8:30pm – 12:30pm) to party the night away with Doc, his gang…and YOU! The fun starts at 8:30pm, so come early and get a good seat! Hope to see you there!

On Saturday, we return to the Peppermill Pub and Grill (7011 Mill Rd., Brecksville, 9pm – Midnight) Come join the party as we rock the house with the fun folks at the Peppermill! Things get rolling at 9pm. Come early for dinner and enjoy one of Gus’ many remarkable dishes (the pasta ROCKS) and a great wine selection. Afterwards, kick back with a cold beer and listen to your favorite blues and rock tunes played the Shady Drive way!

This past week was really hot in more ways than one! On Monday, we hosted the Lube Jam at Quaker Steak and Lube in Sheffield. It was a gorgeous evening on the outdoor stage. Many thanks to jammers Rick Lowe, Michelle Hennes, George Frazier, Dan Elliott, Dennis Raymond, Mike Bomback, Mark Trigalette and Ken Hammer! Thanks also to Debbie, Linda, Darrin, Debbie, Ted and Katie for hanging out with us!

Coming up on Friday, we return to the Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 9:30pm – 1:30am) for an evening of blues and rock the Shady Drive way. The Tavern has amazing food, cold beer and the service is second to none. Come out and party with us!

Hi gang!

It’s time to wind up another week and kick off a new one. It was definitely an event when Shady Drive with Chris Hanna on keys paired up with the North Coast Horns at Harpo’s on Friday night. The dance floor saw a lot of action during the course of the evening and were even treated to a surprise visit by the Soul Men! Look for this to happen again at Harpo’s and at Doc and Louie’s this fall/winter season. Big thanks to Harpo’s for hosting the insanity and to the members of the Brothers Blues Band for stopping by after their appearance at the Italian-American Festival.

On Saturday, Shady Drive was back in trio configuration for an appearance at Frascati’s in the Valley. It was a gorgeous night out on the patio. Thanks to Patty and Bill, Mary and Bob, Jack and Roseanne and Larry for coming out to party with us!

Coming up this week:

Monday: Shady Drive will host the Lube Jam at Quaker Steak and Lube in Sheffield (4900 Transportation Dr, Sheffield Village, 7:30pm to 11pm). It’s always a fun time so come on out and jam with us!

Hi gang!

Last Monday we got a late booking to play Zeppe’s Tavern’s Bike Night on Wednesday. We really enjoyed playing for the Zeppe’s crowd. We’re back there on August 22 at 7pm. After that, we headed south to play a private event in Columbus on Saturday night, then back to Chagrin Falls for another private event on Sunday.

Next up, this Friday, we’ll appear at Harpo’s Sports Cafe (5777 Smith Rd., Brookpark, 9pm – 1am) joined by the incredible Chris Hanna on keys and the fabulous North Coast Horns!! This is a rare event not to be missed!! With Chris and the horns aboard, this should be a very special night. :c)

On Saturday, we cruise back to Frascati’s in the Valley (5143 Canal Rd., Valley View, 9pm – 1am). Weather permitting, we’ll be rockin’ the patio all night. The food is delicious and the wine selection can’t be beat! Great food, great music and good friends…always a winning combination! Come join us!
