Hi gang!

Last week’s Tuesday CMC Jam was highlighted by great vocal performances by E.T. King, Jenny Debevec, Jmy T and Katyana Speckman! It was very cool to have a full house of talented singers. Thanks also to guest hosts Rob Hayes and George F Hartwig, to Bob Laeng, Tim Hamman, Joey Samide, Don Lydon and Bob DeVries for jamming with us and to Chris, Wally, Lisa, Joe S., Effie, Vern, Skip, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of the ‘Frog Faithful,’ for hanging out and enjoying the tunes! Big thanks to our sponsor Dirty Town Guitar and Amps, and to the management and staff of Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe.

Props to The North Coast Horns (Al Widmer, Darrin Clark and Mark Rasnick), Chris Hanna and Adam Constantine for turning in amazing performances this past weekend! You guys ROCK!

Coming up this week…

On Friday we’ll join up with Bill March on bass to appear at The Bier Haus (17692 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, 8:30pm – Midnight). The food there is amazing and they feature dozens of craft beers. Not to mention that Bob, Michelle and staff rock the house in their own right with service that can’t be beat. Come join us! You’ll be glad you did!

We’re traveling south to Columbus for a private function on Saturday.

This announcement from Kevin was posted on Facebook on June 22:

I am excited to announce that I’m the Founding Teacher of Choral Music and Guitar at Success Academy High School of the Liberal Arts in New York City.

I am moving to NYC in a week! I’ll begin my new position in July, but I’ll still be back in Cleveland for the next few weekends to play with Shady Drive, to promote our CD release (“Darker Shade of Blue”) on July 6. I’ll also be playing with my old high school band, The Stone Bermudez, for our reunion concert (July 26). My last performance in Cleveland will be at with Shady Drive at Twilight at the Zoo on August 1.

I am really excited to take this huge step in my life, but I will miss my Cleveland friends very much. I am so thankful for all of the friendships I’ve made in the schools, churches, and music venues of Cleveland. I really hope to see many of you at one of the shows I have coming up in June and July. For details, visit my new website: kevinfancher.com.”

Rob and I wish Kevin much success in his new position and thank him for his contributions to Shady Drive over the past three years.

That’s all for this week! We’ll talk soon…

Rob and Mike :c)
