Hi gang!

We had another great week, and it’s not over yet! This afternoon, Shady Drive will buzz down to The Hive to compete in the CBS Memphis Challenge, but more on that later.

This past Friday, Shady Drive returned to Irish Kevin’s for our monthly gig. The Pinnacle Vodka girls joined us from 9-10pm and that got things off to a great start! Mr. Blake Kniola filled in for Kevin on bass and did a marvelous job! The Kevin’s crowd was out in full force as well as some of our newer friends…Heidi, John, Joel, Tyler, Pete and Eric, to name a few! Thanks for a great night! We played a private event on Saturday evening and had a great time there also. Congratulations Steve and Margaret! Thanks for a fun night!

Coming up, in just a few hours we’ll hit the stage at The Hive (5324 State Rd. Parma) to compete in the Cleveland Blues Society’s Memphis Challenge, where we’ll try to win the right to represent Cleveland in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, starting January 31, 2012. Come out and show your support and you’ll be rewarded with some great music from all of the competing bands and artists! The Hive will run food and drink specials during the competition, so bring your appetite! The doors open at 1:30pm, we are scheduled to appear at 6:15pm.

This Friday November 11, Shady Drive returns to the Lampliter Lounge (6339 Olde York Rd., Parma Heights- 9:30pm) to party down with the Lamp gang. The Lampliter has been a staple of the Cleveland music scene for years and the room sounds great, so we always enjoy playing there. Come on out and bring your dancing shoes!

After that, we’re off to the fabulous Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park – 9:30pm) on Saturday November 12. The Fairview Tavern features a remarkable menu. Their pizza, burgers and wings are out of this world, but they also offer great steaks, seafood and salads! Add to that drink specials, fast and friendly service and a comfortable atmosphere and you’re sure to have a great time! Come join us!

Welcome to the new Shady Drive website! Here you’ll be able to find out where we’ve been, where we are and what’s coming up in the near future.

We’re fresh off our Cebars gig last night, where the crowd was light but mighty. We had a great time partying with our East side friends and hope to be back on that side of town soon!

Coming up in the week ahead, we’ll be performing at Irish Kevin’s (13601 Detroit Ave., Lakewood) on Friday November 4 from 9pm to 1am. It’s always fun with the Kevin’s crowd, and this week the Pinnacle Vodka girls will be there from 9pm – 10pm to promote their new “Gummy” flavored vodka by giving away some free stuff, so you definitely want to be there early!

On Saturday we’re playing a private function, but we’re back on the stage this Sunday November 6 when we appear at The Hive (5324 State Rd., Parma) to compete in the Cleveland Blues Society’s Memphis Challenge event. Come early to get a good seat and you’ll be rewarded with lots of great bands. Shady Drive is scheduled to appear at 6:15pm. We would love to see you all there!
