On Saturday, we headed back to the Fairview Tavern for our monthly appearance. It was great to see Mary, Jon, Brian, Katy, Lisa, Kate, Gerald and the rest of the Tavern gang! We had a blast playing for all of you. :c)

We’re off this weekend, but we do have some news to share! Our new CD is almost finished and we’re planning a release date of July 6. We have a huge CD release party in the works and details are coming soon. Stay tuned!

Hi gang!

Last week was pretty special indeed! It started off at the CMC Jam at Bullfrog’s with awesome guest hosts Rob “Shady” Hayes of Shady Drive and Eroc Sosinski of Michael Stanley and the Resonators, Wish You Were Here and a host of others. Congrats to the winner of the April promo (a prize of two tickets for WYWH May 16 HOB show) John Kerver! Congratulations also to Joey Samide and Greg Kern who won some guitar strings and a Dunlap T-shirt courtesy of our sponsor Dirty Town Guitar and Amps. Thank you to everyone who ventured out this week to jam or to hang out and enjoy some good music fun including John Kerver, Bob Laeng, Joey Samide, Tim Cottom, Bill Sanders, Greg Kern, Don Lydon, Marty Cottom, Dave on vox, Jess, John, George, Vern, Eric, Helen, Joe S., Phil, Kathy, Peanuts, the Dancing Marilyns and the rest of the ‘Frog Faithful.’

On to Friday night at 42 Eighty we joined with Chris Hanna and the North Coast Horns. We played to a full house including Beth, John, Lisa, Laura, Gary, Sandy, Ken, George, Bill, Amanda, Steve and the rest of the 42 Eighty gang! Thanks to Ann, Rachel and Misty for keeping our glasses full! :c)

Saturday night found us at Vosh in Lakewood with Chris Hanna and the North Coast Horns. It was great to see Sandy, Ken, Jason, John, Sandy, Jack, Chris, George, Beth, Kathie, George, the Dancing Marilyns and Katy as well as the Vosh gang including all of the folks from the wedding reception who “crashed” OUR party! We had a great time! :c)

The Cleveland Music Club – CMC Jam happens every Tuesday at Bullfrog’s Sports Cafe (33137 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, 8:30 – 12:30) This week’s guest hosts are G.S. Harper and our own Kevin Fancher. Our sponsor each week is Dirty Town Guitar and Amps. Full backline (two guitar amps, bass amp, Sonor drums and PA) is provided, so bring your favorite axe, sticks or just your party attitude and dancin’ shoes and come join the fun!

This Saturday night we head back to the fabulous Fairview Tavern (21867 Lorain Rd., Fairview Park, 9:30pm – 1:30am) for our monthly appearance there. Come party with us and enjoy one of the Tavern’s delicious dishes (try the $10 strip steak special!) and some frosty cold beverages while we play your favorite classic rock and blues tunes!

Hi gang!

Finally, some nice weather! The down side is that more folks are spending time outdoors, so the crowds were light last week.

Friday’s show at Upper Deck was a blast with Bob, Lisa, Joe, Sandy, Ken, Jimmy, Jeffrey, Andrew, Donna, Susie, Laura and all of the ‘Deck gang. This was our last Upper Deck show for this season. Thanks to Tim and his awesome staff for having us! We’re looking forward to coming back next year!

Saturday’s Fairview Tavern crowd was light as well, but we had fun rockin’ the house with Heather, Lance, Onnie, John, Jackie, Annette, Cyndi, Dan, Joe and Max who joined us onstage for some Blues Brothers tunes, and Jeff, who sat in with us and did a killer job with harp and vocals on “The Sky Is Crying”! We’re back at the Fairview Tavern on May 10.

Coming up this week…

On Saturday we’ll head back to The Bier Haus (17692 Pearl Rd., Strongsville, 8:30pm – Midnight). The food there is amazing and they feature dozens of craft beers. Not to mention that Bob, Michelle and staff rock the house in their own right with service that can’t be beat. Come join us! You’ll be glad you did!

Hi gang!

What a great week! All kinds of musical happenings, and we can finally see the grass again! Things started off early on Monday morning when we learned that we’d been voted as a finalist in the Cleveland Hot List! We’re very proud of our 4th place finish and want to thank all of you for voting for us! What a great way to start the week!

On Saturday, we played to a full house at 42 Eighty Food and Drink until almost 2am! Thanks to Chris, Daryl, Louise, John, Beth, Laura, Gary, Merle, Sandy, Ken, Celeste, John, Scotty, Chuck and all the 42 Eighty gang! Together we rocked the house!

Coming up this week…

We’ll be spending time in the studio tonight, tomorrow and Tuesday laying down the last of the tracks for our upcoming CD. We’re very excited about the recording and hope to have it ready for a mid-summer release.

This Friday we’ll slide into The Upper Deck (375 W. Bagley Rd., Berea, 9pm – 1am) for our monthly appearance there. Great food, great service and a very comfy room with plenty of parking are the order of the day at Upper Deck. C’mon out and party with us this Friday night!

On Saturday we teamed up with Chris Hanna and the fabulous North Coast Horns and totally lit up the Savannah Bar and Grille! Not a seat was empty and the dance floor got one heck of a workout despite the nasty weather. It was great to see Dave, John, Elaine, Deb, Ray, Joy, Bob, Sandy, Ken, Tricia, Gerald and the Savannah gang braving the elements to come out and party with us! Big thanks to Jim DePaul for having us, to Guy for a great job on the sound board and to Chris, Sue, Bobby and Jess for keeping everyone fed and watered!

Friday night’s show at the Upper Deck was an instant party with John, Jimmy, Jason and Wes, Tricia and Gerald, Donna, Jeff Z., Jeff P., Bill and Pam V. and Gordy, Jeff and Andrew and some of our old Mad Cactus gang including Teddy! What a fun night!

Saturday’s “Unplugged” show at the Blue Turtle was a very enjoyable night! Thanks to Tricia, Gerald, Larry, Chris and the whole Blue Turtle gang for hanging out to party and sing along with us! Fun!

On Friday night, we appeared at Bullfrog’s with the amazing Mr. Chris Hanna on keys. It was great to see Pat, Charlie, Beth, John, Kim, Keith, Effie, Don, Jess, Joy, Bob and Coletta out to rock the house with us!

Our monthly Fairview Tavern appearance on Saturday was a great time. Thanks to Jen, Jeremy, Katy, Blake, Gerald, Tricia, Corrine, Carl, Jacque and Lee for stopping by to party with us! We had fun and hope you did too!

Friday’s show at the Sly Fox was a blast! Thanks to Katy, Lisa, Ron, Mike and company and the whole Fox crew for stopping out! We had a great time! Thanks also to Brett for a great job on the boards.

On Saturday, Shady Drive played to a standing room only crowd at 42 Eighty Food and Drink. Thanks to John Powell for filling in for me on short notice and congrats to Gary on his 10th year of being cancer-free!
