Due to Rob’s concerns over COVID-19, Shady Drive has been forced to cancel our show with Tony Koussa and the North Coast Horns at Legends on November 25 as well as Fairview Tavern shows on November 21 and December 19.

Also, effective immediately, I am parting ways with Shady Drive to pursue other musical interests. I will continue to send emails and also keep my website updated at www.mikestarcher.com

On Wednesday, November 25,  Shady Drive joins with Tony Koussa on keys and the fabulous North Coast Horns to appear at Legends Sports Bar and Grill (8735 Day Drive, Parma, 8pm)! Great food, service, plenty of parking, house sound and lights and a huge dance floor all make Legends one of Cleveland’s top live music venues, so make plans now to join us!

Happy Labor Day! We hope everyone is doing something fun and relaxing today! Speaking of fun, Slim ‘N Shady will be doing something fun this coming Friday, September 11! Here’s the scoop…

Friday: Slim ‘N Shady heads back to Blue Turtle Tavern (29352 Lorain Rd., N. Olmsted, 6-9pm). C’mon out and help us rock the house during the Turtle’s Happy Hour while we play your favorite classic rock, country and blues tunes! You can even sing along! It’s that kinda party!

After three years in the bass chair with Shady Drive, Blake Kniola is leaving the band to pursue other musical interests. It’s been an amazingly fun time with Blake in the band, and we wish him the best in his future endeavors! We’ll miss you Blake!

And so, please welcome Paul Francis back to Shady Drive! Paul has continued to play with Rob and Mike in “In Step”, and is returning to Shady Drive. We’re looking forward to our first show with Paul back in the bass chair on September 19!

We hope everyone is well! Currently we are scheduled to resume performing in September. Providing the current level of restriction doesn’t increase, Slim ‘N Shady will resume at Blue Turtle Tavern on Friday, September 11, 6-9pm. Shady Drive will resume at Fairview Tavern on Saturday, September 19, 9pm – midnight.

Due to some personal and family health concerns, Shady Drive/Slim ‘N Shady/In Step will be taking a short break from performing. The current lockdown and ban on entertainment seemed like an appropriate time for us to do so.

Currently, all of our live shows are canceled until bars and restaurants open again. We hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. Many venues are staying open for carry out and delivery. They need our support to stay afloat until this crisis passes and we can get back to some semblance of normalcy.

Restaurants with outdoor seating opened on May 15, bars and indoor restaurants may open on May 21, provided they meet the social distancing guidelines. However, there was some language about dancing and entertainment areas remaining closed for the time being. We’re still not optimistic for the month of May. We’ll continue to post on Sunday to keep in touch and keep you all informed.

In the meantime, grab some take out from your favorite venue occasionally. Two of our favorites are:
